At Plyphonic, we believe that music deserves more than just being tucked away in a dark corner. Music is an experience, a ritual. Whether it's the physical pleasure of vinyl or the quality of high-fidelity audio, it deserves a central place in your home.

We design and create handmade furniture specifically for music lovers. From modular storage systems for your record collection to complete high-end audio consoles.

A modern ode to the 50s

We're inspired by the beautiful audio furniture from the 1950s and 1960s. Back then, the stereo console was the heart of the living room; a piece of furniture that brought people together.

Plyphonic brings back that feeling, but with a modern approach. We combine the warm, nostalgic aesthetic of yesteryear with the sleek lines and technology of today. Our consoles aren't just cabinets; they're fully integrated sound systems with built-in speakers, amplification, and space for your turntable.

The Power of Plywood

Our name says it all: we proudly work with plywood. But forget what you know about standard hardware store wood. We use only top-quality birch and pine plywood.

We celebrate the beauty of the material. The characteristic layers of the plywood aren't hidden, but rather left visible as a stylish element. For those who prefer color, we finish the furniture with high-quality HPL (High Pressure Laminate) in a variety of vibrant colors, while the wooden edges continue to offer that beautiful contrast.

Craftsmanship & Technology

In our workshop in the Netherlands (Oldenzaal) we continuously search for the balance between digital precision and craftsmanship.

• CNC Precision: The base of our furniture is milled with the millimeter precision of our CNC router. This allows us to create complex, incredibly strong wood joints that are almost impossible to achieve by hand.

• Handcrafted Finishing: Once the parts come off the machine, craftsmanship takes over. Sanding, gluing, oiling, and assembly are all done by hand with meticulous attention to detail.

At Plyphonic, we don't use visible screws. Our constructions are fully glued. This not only creates a super-sleek look but also ensures that furniture remains rigid and vibration-free for decades – essential for excellent sound reproduction.
